The Easton Police Department hires Full Time Police Officers off the Massachusetts State Civil Service List , which is given every two years. In order to take this test, you need to be at least 19 years of age, have a valid drivers license and you need to be a United States citizen. The results of this test are released to Police Departments who request this list for hire. Please check with Department of Personnel Administration for the current testing schedule.

This department takes transfers from other Police Departments. As long as the new transfer meets the standards of the Massachusetts State Civil Service List. The Chief of Police, and Town Government approve all appointments.

Full Time Dispatchers are hired by the Chief of Police and Local Town Government. A Dispatchers test is given when positions become available. This test is given, when dispatchers are needed.

Special Police Officers - No Current Employment Openings !!!

When employment opportunities arise ...
Special Police Officers are hired by the Chief of Police, and Local Town Government. Applications are given to applicants, when positions become available. The Local Newspaper will usually announce the hiring. Once the applications are in, they are reviewed extensively and further steps are taken before hiring occurs.
